• The Toyotomi Clan Sword is a classic katana, hand-forged using traditional methods with refined steel. It features a meticulously crafted blade that has undergone thirteen rounds of fine grinding. The fittings are made from fine brass, and the sheath is made from lacquered green skin wood. The Toyotomi surname was given to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a regent who held power during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It was a privilege reserved for court nobles, placing Toyotomi among the ranks of the Minamoto, Taira, Fujiwara, Tachibana, Sugawara, Hieda, Oe, among others. This name was bestowed upon Hideyoshi by the imperial court in 1586.
